VOAS will now manage the distribution of rental apartment keys through Smartbox Key

The Vaasa Student Housing Foundation, known as VOAS, has implemented the Smartbox Key management machine for their premises. In the future, VOAS will distribute apartment keys through the machine as well. The machine itself is located in the Rewell shopping center in Vaasa. When the office is closed, new tenants can conveniently pick up their keys from the machine according to the shopping center’s opening hours, including weekends. This significantly extends VOAS’s service hours, as their office is open on weekdays during office hours, whereas the shopping center is open every day of the week from morning until evening.

Smartbox Key also alleviates congestion during the end of the month

The distribution and return of apartment keys are heavily concentrated at the end of the month. The Smartbox Key management machine provides relief during these peak times. For this reason, the machine is ideal for companies renting out student apartments, as turnover in these apartments is high, and there may be hundreds of new tenants on moving days. With the machine, keys do not need to be queued for, and they can be collected according to the customer’s own schedule. VOAS normally handles key returns through the office or drop box, but returns can also be managed through Smartbox Key.
